Done with part one, on the Indian dams.
Informative and dark. I don't know enough about dams, India, Indian politics and economies, or how it has changed in the last 25 years to verify or disprove anything in this essay. It seems to be well researched and well written though, and I have no reason to suspect it's a fabrication. It read like a John Oliver crash course in how the world is horrible - sans the comedy.
