Grant commands his presence and orders action with so few words. It’s pretty awesome.

This is an extremely well written account of this battle. It has me gripped. The style is fluid and interesting.

Also General Lee is kinda losing it here. I never knew he, as the CSA’s senior ranking officer, tried to lead a brigade into battle? He started walking into the fight while his soldiers tried to hold him back. I think he legitimately tried to kill himself on May 6, 1864. Erratic, odd behavior.
