In the five revolutions Zakaria analyzes, he argues that the most successful revolutions are from the bottom up, and emphasizes that its economic changes which send ripple effects on society. I'm also curious about how he came to the conclusion that the French Revolution was a failed revolution, except for the establishment of nationalism. Is that the only thing that goes from the top down?
