Love it. I think Crichton is just brilliant especially considering when he wrote it.

He definitely deserves all the credit he gets as a writer. Let me know when you're done with it; I'd enjoy chatting about it.

And, if you have the time, definitely get through Jurassic Park as it is very different to the movie. That alone would make it worth reading but I found reading it after this one interesting as Dr. Malcolm is a lot more compelling after you've read Andromeda Strain.
