Stan Rea How readable is this? It sounds interesting but I don’t want to wade through a forest of footnotes and quotations in German.

Christian I would say it is pretty readable. He covers the overview of semitic language development, the transmission of texts, and key texts that are important for text criticism.

He then gives an analysis of the BHS and how to use it. And the last chapter is an example of how to do text criticism by using the book of Ruth as a test case.

There are no German footnotes lol
