I am all for discussions about the perils of personhood in late stage capitalism/modern society. But there is a lot of focus on identity not being real or being something people cling to out of desperation, which is easier said when your identity is generic/default (“white male”, for ex) and seems unfair. Also want to flag an active shooter type of chapter which says random violence is “true and necessary”??
