Jayson
Jayson is starting

Notes:
(1) I've already read this in singles, but it's always interesting to experience the trade.
- The series is only four issues long, and so I expect it to play out more like a movie than a television show.
- Or to use a strictly literary metaphor, I expect it to read more like a novella than a chaptered novel.
(2) In any case, Murphy's art's always worth a second look.

Jayson
Jayson is finished

Notes:
(1) One thing that definitely stands out by reading these issues all at once is how mediocre the story is.
- The driving force (no pun intended) behind this book is the art. Without that, it's just a mildly intriguing concept, many bloody sword deaths, and a lot of cars.
(2) I can only assume Murphy isn't religious, just by the shallow way he writes religious people.

Jayson is 48% done

Notes:
(1) I know Murphy's a big car guy but it's all way too in-your-face.
- Even when it's not about riding around in cars, having car chases and highway battles, the female lead wears a bright orange checkered racing jacket the whole time.
- Feels about as natural as a "Zorro"/"Transformers" crossover.
(2) The "Day of the Dead" connection is pretty weak. I expected more.
