Seriously love the characters and the building up of lore. There’s some tension in wondering who the lady waking up is, and I feel at least vaguely the sense of dread I’m sure the main characters are feeling.

This book seems really interesting. Despite the large number of pages, the large font size makes me think this will be a quick read.
It started off strong with good character introductions, and I already feel genuinely bad for Jack because of his parents’ neglect, although it seems like that’s caused by something supernatural.
Excited to see the characters and story get more developed as the book goes on.
