I am more than half way through the book and I feel a really strong connection to Leon. although I haven't ever experienced war or discrimination, I feel like I have. He describes the holocaust so well with descriptive language. The author (Leon himself) makes you feel like you are there with him. I hope that I would never be4 in his position but its god to know that others are in the world today.
