I was so incredibly tempted to skip over the Huey Louis and the News section (it’s 6 full pages), but I’m so glad I stuck with it because the little twist it makes at the end of the chapter is so worth it. This book is excellent.

The sudden jump in this huge paragraph from the probably 60th description of what everyone is wearing to “Men Raped by Women” on the Patty Winter Show was the exact hypnosis that people said on Reddit caused them to be so shocked by the extreme violence.

Suddenly, the story is in 3rd person. Cool

This book is beyond excellent. I truly didn’t think there was a way to top the 2000 film but I was dead wrong. This book had shown me just how fascinating horror can really be. My favorite scenes are the ones that mix Bateman’s madness with the mundanity of the vapid people around him. I think the Shopping chapter is my favorite so far.

This book is even better than the film and I don’t mean that lightly. The chapter “Thursday Afternoon” is nothing short of excellent. I aspire to be able to write this well one day.

The descriptions of everyone’s clothing is starting to get grating, but I’m trying my best to skim it. The first murder has occurred with the homeless guy Al, and they weren’t kidding when they said the book was more explicit. I’m really excited for the scene with Luis Caruthers. They also had a quick pride parade scene.
