really boring until page 150ish then jumpscare!: a rape scene! i knew it was coming but i figured a book written by a 90 year old woman whose demographic is almost exclusively middle aged conservative christian ladies would simply allude to some illegal happenings or make some kind of allegory so that no karen would whine and complain. curious as to how fern will wrap this one up
