Every time I reach the Dallas-based narrator in this book, I cringe a little. I'm not sure the authors have ever set foot there. Every character talks like they're straight out of the wild west (with phrases such as "Little Lady" being used often & unironically) and the narrator moving from Denton to Dallas and not being used to city life since its a WHOLE HOUR AWAY is amusing. (Born & Raised Dallasite here btw)
