So far only half way through and while I enjoy the input of Gay’s essays, I expected more. My expectations did the book injustice because I expected some kind of feminist bible that finally contained the one and only through about feminism. I am ashamed to admit that, because it sounds so naive - it is naive. In my defense it is often described as such and Gay rejects these expectations in chapter 1.
