I really am not liking either of the main two characters. I get that, in the era, they would be dealing with a lot of internalized homophobia but I just can’t find anything redeemable out them. They keep undercutting themselves with how they treat each other and others.

From a writing perspective, there’s a little of missed tradition moments. Like we set up a reaction and then just cut to the next scene.
