Have progressed through the college years and the first job LBJ took as a school teacher in a very southern Texas town, Cotulla bcz of a good pay.
Tbh the character of LBJ in his youth lacks depth to an extent that it feels quite odd to realise that he ended up as the President of the United States.
Some other traits that can be seen are seeking validation, always thinking highly of himself even if in a dismal state

Lyndon, a lost teenager trying to give meaning to his life and achieve something however is beaten up each time by life.
Also, all he learns from his parents is “what no to do “.
Hence, he appears as a disobedient and reckless child.

It’s interesting how this journey would unfold & eventually take him to the White House.

Finished part 1 and can’t wait to read more. Exceptional writing & meticulous details

Finished the first two chapters about life in hill country, texas. One of the finest pieces of non fiction writing i have come across.
