I’m a Joburger by default and the implosion of this great African city is interwoven with our daily lives. I am on the fence with this one. It’s a quick read, albeit with a tinge of Jacaranda bloom News24 style journalism. It has been heavily punted as a ‘blueprint for Joburg’s transformation into Wakanda’, but 30 pages in and I am just bloody depressed.
