Look…if Ryder had been the only MMC in this story…I think I would have been okay with it 😆 the way he gets written and his POV makes me feel the authors lean towards him more than the others (or maybe that’s my wishing 😂)
Okay, maybe if Dante was also included and Leon was a side fling 😂

My hair shifted against my ear and I realised belatedly that Ryder was loosely coiled around my neck in his Basilisk form, his head lifting slowly before he brushed his scaly nose against my cheek.

I’m all for characters dying to make an emotional mess out of me and for the story growth BUT if any of these guys die (ESPECIALLY Ryder or Leon) I’m gonna be a freaking mess 😭 just saying…

Ryder’s muscles were constantly rigid so eating him would be like cracking through a pistachio with my teeth. But Gabe, he was always calm, composed. He probably did yoga at the buttcrack of dawn while he recharged his magic in front of the sunrise. He’d taste like a croissant, soft and sweet in the middle.

I love Leon so much 😂

I sought out answers from the stars, but I swear they were laughing at me, offering me no solution and just giggling away up in the damn sky.

I feel as a reader that I’m the stars from laughing at the ridiculousness of his situation 😂

I stared at him as he looked up at me once more and a grin split across his face which I immediately returned. He held his hand out to me to clasp and where I hands joined, the marks created an infinity symbol connecting us to one another. “Holy shit, fratello. I think the stars just made us best friends.”
