Reading this again August 2024. Decided to start this again from the beginning and already about a third in. So far, an interesting read and enjoying the choices the translator has made, as well as the contextual tidbits added in for the sake of the reader.

Time will tell if this goes back on my hiatus shelf, or if this is the much-needed novel to end my summer with.
