at this point it’s like “how can somebody write this brilliantly?”

there’s a passage where he transcribes a job interview and it soon becomes clear that this is no longer an interview- he’s talking to the reader, letting you see him progressively more vulnerable until he’s begging you to see him, acknowledge his pain because sharing his suffering will heal him.
