I didn't know how to take Alec in the beginning, I didn't understand why he was in the closet when it seem to me that he was ok with what he wanted. But once he started having feelings for Ed and talking to him I got that his father was someone I could hate and did for a good part of the book. I hated when Ed had to turn Alec down but is was for the best, but once Alec made his mind up to come out, boy he did it big.
