I hate this book. I hate this book a LOT.

Abortions are safe. ABORTIONS ARE SAFE. Abortions DO NOT cause "scar tissue" that will later result in emergency hysterectomies. The majority of abortions in this country are performed using fucking pills for god's sake, that cause you to miscarry. ABORTIONS ARE SAFE AND DO NOT CAUSE SCAR TISSUE THAT LEADS TO HYSTERECTOMIES.

Also, some women are terrified of pregnancy. Some women are terrified of the changes that it'll bring to their bodies. Some women don't want to lose 10 months of their lives being an incubator to a baby, no matter how they feel about parenting. THAT'S OKAY. There's nothing fucking wrong with not wanting to be pregnant.

Basically, fuck Nate. He's 1000000% not good enough for Emma, and if any friend or sister of mine was dating his "urgent need for therapy control freak" ass, I'd be terrified for her and urging her to break up with him. His pathological need to control his (adult) son's life, his own life, and the lives of the women he sleeps with isn't cute, it's not charming, it's not "alpha", and it's not okay. Speaking from personal experience, that kind of need to control often tilts over the edge into abuse. It's not hot.

Basically, if this book was a physical copy I'd throw it across the room hard enough to dent plaster. I'm pissed, because I liked the first two and really like the heroine. She deserves so much better than a pathological asshole like the main male character.
