I’m a bit disconcerted and out of sorts knowing this is a DNF
But whatever

I’m in no mood to read more of this drivel

I’ll prob delete this book from my digi library too
After I read those two books I added recently

Oh yeah, I don’t think I’ve ever DNF’d a semi good book before. A three stars…

DNF books are usually reserved for the truly awful, can’t even be bothered, can’t stand another millisecond to read…

This one though, I’m getting off this ride while it was ..good.
Kind of. Tolerable maybe.

I did add two other first books by this author… to my want to read shelf..

Maybe those will be better…
One about space and science experiments…maybe aliens idk

The other about vampires

Which, sure…I’ll prob be in the mood for those at some point

^ the spoilers I read just helped me make that decision too
I really don’t want to read this kind of book, knowing what’s going to happen will be shit.

Also the sequel to this book has a blurb that starts with “…in modern day…” which 🙄

Now I think I’ll end up DNFing this. Which is a first…
I’ll prob skip straight to the end though.

Seems this book is going downhill and nowhere

I think I know my main problem with this book now..
and I’ll def be reading reviews and spoilers soon..

I don’t enjoy the uncertainty…

I don’t enjoy the world building.

I hate how the fmc is treated by 99% of this world.

I want to skip to the part where everyone realizes she didn’t deserved all the fucking hate they laid on her..
if that even happens

I am curious to know what others think of this book

And maybe I’ll read some reviews and spoilers before the end

Honestly feeling kind of bored reading rn

Not in love with the plot or storyline.
Also realizing that I may not be … idk… pleased? With the language/dialect/time period…

I’m not on the edge of my seat to keep reading..

It’s kind of meh.

The characters and what they say and so may be endlessly charming at times, but charm can only get me so far.

Maybe I’ve been to distracted to fully immerse myself in the story??

At this point, I’m wondering where the story could possibly go from here. Like a crossroads…

Tbh, I don’t think I’ll be rating this more than three stars, while I’ve certainly read so much worse, this book also isn’t…enticing..

The one word that kept popping into my mind was how, charming, this book is.
From the characters, their actions, dialogue..

A solid three stars all around, from beginning to now,
Not much to complain about..

Although, I have found myself skimming here and there.
