The girl is breaking a rule. She has a phone in her back pocket and they aren't aloud to have phones on them. She seen something bad so she pulled her phone out until she almost got caught by her leader. In North Korea if they catch you with a phone in curtain events they can get you community and family in trouble. We don't know exactly what they do to them just yet.

The girl's brother normally doesn't listen and never pays attention.The girls brother was trying to take a pen that if you would take you would get your family, guides and friends in trouble if they caught you.So when the sister found out what her brother had she told him to put it back and she explained to him what could happen. Normally he wouldn't listen but this time was different. He put it back and walked away.

The girl started questioning the guy sitting next to her.In North Korea asking questions about certain things are not aloud you can actually get in trouble if you ask the question. But she didn't care she felt safe asking the questions when normally you would feel bad if your doing something your not supposed to. She was asking the guy questions about the kids doing the card thing during the game they were watching.

I had an aha moment when she said her real parents could be anywhere in the crowd. This gave me that moment because I realized that her family could be where she is since she was born in South Korea. This is important because it lets us know that she is from there and it lets us know she is adopted so then it helps us know why she feels certain ways in certain situations.

I had an aha moment when the girl said her dad reserved a plaque. This stuck out because I realized that's what her dad received for all of the work he has done with the people and other things in North Korea. She also received something which her brother should have but he wont talk to anyone or look at them so she stepped forward and accepted the gift they gave her. We do not know what they got her just yet.

I had an aha moment when the guards said something about the girls dad. The girl finally figured out why her dad was out at 12 pm that one night. Her dad was out because they were thanking him for all the work he has done for the country and people. They gave him a box but we don't know what's in the box yet.This caught my attention because I finally realized why her dad was out and she figured out that same thing.

So far I have learned that she is adopted and she got adopted when she was 7 months old. She has always been a daddy's girls but she feels betrayed because her dad was being suspicious. She don't know how to confront him since she don't know what he was really doing. She was born in South Korea that his why her dad took her to North Korea to try and show her the culture.
