It is in the warmth of God's steadfast, unshakable love that we can gain the courage to be honest before Him. He delights to forgive and yearns to speak His pardon to us. This is what frees us to drop the fig leaves and stand exposed before Him.

How then is it that we act as if the Sacrament were a poison, and eating it would kill us?... But those who feel their weakness, and really want to be rid of it, desire a remedy. They should regard and use the Sacrament as a price antidote against the poison that they carry in them.

"Eve divorced eating from the Word of God."

But now, as the memory is stirred, God is giving you a great gift. He gives you the opportunity to forgive them yet again as the assurance that you yourself have been forgiven. pg 44
