i remember now that i didn't really like The Great Gatsby when i read it lifetimes ago. none of the characters are really likeable; they're all kind of dicks for different reasons. i'm sticking around for poor nick, but i don't know how long i'll hang on. it's a struggle to read.

not gunna lie, i totally forgot what happens in The Great Gatsby, so i don't know what story beats are the original and what's new. i do remember it ends "tragically" with a few dead bodies, so i'm curious if that's going to remain the same or if our titular boys will have a happy ending.
