Gansel’s portrait of the salvaged language- a necessity in an area filled with speakers of all different languages- makes me long for the translation abilities I once had.
Continuing to build her case for translation as a form of poetry (an argument Ive welcomely accepted) Gansel brings her eye for beauty to the page in a way that reminds me of my own desires to capture my view of the world by any means possible.

Currently Gansel’s childhood fascinates me her love of translation is like an uncut gem in her heart, already showing a promising glow.
