Gods I want to read a good series for once
It’s been so long since I actually loved and raved a book

As well as the release of all these books/series

It was not enjoyable.. I don’t agree with how and when they were published.

Like the stories are all out of order and all over the place

I very much hesitate to rate this even three stars bc there was still a lot of shit I didn’t enjoy overall, with this book, this series, this author, her writing..

So I’ll give it 2.8 stars, 3 at most specifically for the marveling I mentioned

What I do recall
Like with Marcus’ story and knowing how that plays out, I’d already been very unsatisfied with how it went about in his book

The feeling is worse after I read this book

It’s all so…lackluster and unclimactic..??

Underwhelming in the extreme I think

I think it was the banter, specifically when the past / historical characters were marveling at the futuristic things.

Yeah… only then was this book entertaining.
Things like that and the fmc and her “future” quirks.

Honestly can’t even recall specific things I guess bc I’m already over this book I think

I may or may not read Seth’s book next..

I may or may not give her other books/series a try

The world building was meh… it really could’ve been great but it was just lacking a lot, but also had too much crap in general.

I’ll prob feel more generous after a time

Gathering my thoughts, I mean to say the author does not do either or the other well.
Past or present …

Strange

The first book in this series took place with all the characters from the Middle Ages

The immortal guardians, everyone was in present day time

And the alien series, well… it’s aliens. But from the reviews, prob worse than the second I mentioned

I do think it’s safe to say that This book was the best from this author I’ve read. And that’s not likely to change even if I read others of hers in the future..

I think it’s bc the fmc was from the future and the mmc was from the past. They meshed well.

I vaguely recall Marcus’ book… so it would’ve been so much more satisfying if I’d read it last.. then I also might’ve been inclined to read Seth’s book too
