Eugene gets the idea to join the circus so he can travel around to find his parents.

Eugene is 12, having grown up in the orphanage. He & his friend are the oldest boys & look out for the others. The orphanage lady is old but nice and treats the boys like family.
Eugene reads the Flynn Rider books to them & acts it out but breaks a window.
Tax Collector comes, but the money from the king is late, so they can't pay. Tax man is mean, wants to close the orphanage. Eugene accidently makes him angrier.

Eugene's mother died during the collapse of the kingdom. His father wanted to save Eugene, so he sent his son away under the care of the Queen's maid. Meanwhile, the King stayed behind to stop the stone.
