Jabba is an inpatient bitch to Fett. Sana and Aphra were criminally underused here. Fett lighting Chewie on fire was metal. Qi’ra battling Vader was cool but too quick. Vader chasing Luke felt like a convenient way to keep him away so the plot could happen. Jabba was wise to let the Empire take Han. Fett using old credentials was a fun nod. Qi’ra helping the rescue team was a nice change of pace.

The comic was good, with minor flaws. Nobody major died except the Hutt council, which was expected about halfway through. Some characters had little to do (Aphra, Sana, Luke). Every bounty hunter from Fett’s past seemed to be there. I found Luke’s group annoying to run into. A fun romp, I just wish it had bigger stakes. Stories set between films rarely work when it comes to tension. This story suffers from that.

The Hutt council challenging the Empire and dying felt earned. Fett blowing up Valance was odd but he’s a cyborg so whatever. The fall into the ocean from space would have shattered the carbonite. Vader killing the Hutt council was fun to see. Qi’ra’s motives continue to remain a mystery. Fett forgiving Jabba makes sense because otherwise he’d probably struggle to get work. Crimson Dawn is fascinating.
