Her tragic backstory starts off with "I wanted to run away from home because my sister was so sick she was frequently hospitalized, and I was the healthy child so my parents didn't love me as much."
WHAT TF IS THIS ABLEIST BULLSH-

OK. I don't know if I can finish this book that has a character who believes you can just adopt a child because they love them... and not have an appropriate place to live, enough money to feed both of them or adopt them. I can't with this blind optimism.
