Happy New Knee Day eve to me! Tomorrow, Monday, is the big day. I'll be leaving here in a few hours to check in to a hotel, then I report to the hospital bright and early in the morning.
I love you all. "Talk" to you in a few days!

Best of luck to you. My husband had that done a few years back.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery! Took care of my Mom, keys to success for her were to do PT like a Badass & using a zero gravity chair post op for sleep.
Thank you, all! My daughter'll be here soon so I can chill with my grandsons awhile before we leave. I'm allowed to have my phone in hospital room, so I'm hoping to check in from time to time. I can't go cold turkey from all my GR friends!!Chauncey, I've never heard of a zero gravity chair. I'll look it up.
Thank you everyone! I'm checked in to hotel and will report to the hospital in the morning. WiFi is slow here, so I'm just going to tell you all I love you and will talk to you soon!Dhes out!
Just wanted to let you know our family is thinking about you and praying for your swift recovery. Hope the surgery went well yesterday. :)
Friends, I'm home! The surgery was a success. I'm pain free in my knee joint, but the muscles hurt like mad...but that's perfectly okay because that pain, I know, is temporary. THANK YOU all so much for your thoughts and prayers. They truly helped, I'm sure of it!
Woo hoo! Welcome back. Congrats on the pain free knee. Someone send a memo to those muscles to get with the pain free program. ;)

I have lots of PT to learn to walk the right way again. They straightened my leg, too, but the muscles keep wanting to revert to their old way of walking. I have to show them who's boss. ;)
Good luck with the PT - it's a lot of work but so worth it! And don't be stingy with the pain meds, hard to do that PT when you are in pain. I speak from first hand experience here. =) So glad you are on the road to recovery! I just hope you can do better with reading afterwards than I did, my concentration was shot for several weeks. I could only focus long enough to watch stupid television shows or read short snippets on the internet - a full book was so not going to happen!
@MountainKatThank you!
I had a book with me, and my iPad loaded with books but the pain meds made it impossible to focus. I have a feeling it'll be awhile before I can read again, but I'll give it my best shot! LOL!
