This book is half interesting haunted house story and half the author's poorly disguised sexual fantasy. I don't think I can read any more, I gave this book the benefit of the doubt as there were some interesting scenes like with Morton the surveyor, but the constant sex scenes were unnecessary and when it described his 'bloodstained tusk' (🤮) in an already gross sex scene, I was so fucking done. 😭

All the characters are really interesting apart from Craig, who dulls my mind every time he re-enters the page.

Also the sex scenes every other scene are a bit unnecessary.

This book is really good so far at being unsettling both overtly with seeing and hearing weird stuff and more subtly with this uncomfortable dynamic between the main characters and overall ‘offness’ about everything, really enjoying it so far!

Its quite graphic so far 😭 it seems well written though and I’m interested to see where it goes
