its pretty good so far. If you're worried that its like about the trojan war in high gory detail its not. The narrator really doesn't care for warfare. It focuses completely on the characters of Patroclus and Achilles. And up to like halfway through the book is their youth spent together. I think its a pretty thoughtful retelling of the story through the lense of their relationship. I think she also does a pretty good job of explaining societal things and customs of the ancient greek world so that the reader has an understanding of the context and meaning in certain actions. Without pulling you from the story in order to take a second to explain something to a reader who isn't a historian or classics major.
