I think that the book is a plot driven story. No matter what the characters do, they'll end up in a bad place. Even when they try to get around without trouble, trouble will meet them. I.e. When Harry and Cedric got to the triwizard cup, and ouch end it, they ended up in a graveyard where Wormtail was helping Voldemort rise to power again. Harry and Cedric didn't want trouble here, they just wanted to win.

The protagonist in this book is Harry Potter. He is daring and brave. He takes risks to save what's important in the end. He has his friends to help him and back him up. He is protective to his friends and his remaining family.

A static character in my book is Hermione. She is always trying to be in control. She is a know-it-all. She is trying to be sensible, but her friends, Harry and Ron, are not.
