Ah, I see what the problem with the missing words is. It's only formatted to fit the default font size. Increasing the font causes entire words or phrases to disappear, so it's likely to be an ongoing problem. Something to keep in mind if you have iffy eyesight like me, but everyone else should be fine.

Hrm. This is the second time I've noticed missing words. This time, there appear to be several of them in a row:

"Lack of an official record or not being a person of interest in a particular crime woman with her background felt she had to go to extreme lengths to get the CMA to investigate the Reyeses, surely it was worth checking out."

Pretty glaring.

Okay, this just got interesting. Not an incredibly surprising turn of events, but definitely a good sign for the rest of the book. Our romantic leads suddenly seem to be on much more equal footing, which I greatly prefer to power imbalances.
