I don’t know how to explain it better, but this book has a very ambitious plot but also no plot whatsoever.
Like the author wants us to think there are several intrigues but mostly just focuses on bulging biceps and the mutual horniness of the MCs.

Big strong Scotsman, teeny tiny blond woman. Lots of big strong brothers for future books, small contrived reason they can’t be together easily overcome. Sex and Scottish accents.
This is a great book if you don’t have the ability to concentrate on plot 😆. Anxiety brain fog is real and it’s kicking my butt. So I thank this book for being so very mediocre. 🙏🏻

I know these books are mediocre. I have nothing to say for myself. I’m just in a slump now nothing is good anyway. I might as well listen to something free.
When I’m slumping I purposely choose stinkers or, at best, ones I expect will be mediocre. The problem is when a long-term slump ruins stuff you expect to like. ☹️ I’m actually reading 2 potential 4+ stars right now, but am afraid to get excited & jinx it.
I knooooow. This ‘24 Slump is just wretched. 🙈
My arc tbr list is making it worse. I haven’t even applied for any but keep getting them
Maybe if you ignore a bunch & don’t rate them early they’ll take a hint? I never got into the arc universe because it seemed like too much bother, & you know I’m not ebook-friendly anyway.
