The first half of the book was captivating. The dramatic twist and turns of Evelyn Hugo’s life kept me hooked. The plot did seem a little repetitive near the end and I cringed a little on Monique’s divorce chapter. Nevertheless, it was a good holiday read - easy to follow and has a good pace.
