I think there's a silver linning in including safe words and aftercare in bdsm scenes, but I don't quite understand the point if all this is happening inside the rolplay of a fantasy tale. I view the whole book and reading experience as a space where consent has been established. But with this then there's no excuse for the emotional abuse Idk
