another story i felt needed a longer, fleshed-out novel. the world and the characters were interesting, but was begging for more time to be explored. i left wanting to know more about the survey office's corruption/exploitation of the natural world, more about Minhe, Ah Gao and Suyi, more about the post-apocalyptic society and of its implied interstellar colonies.
