Putting this on hold. I can stand only so much deception as a plot device, and all 3 of these novellas are based on deception due ro the premise. But this 3rd one has liars on both sides of the h/H equation.

Just finished the second novella in this anthology. Duchess of Light by Susanna Ives. At first, I did not like Lucere because he was just nasty in manner. I didn't like Estella because it took so long to assert herself. And I really didn't like her younger sisters because they were immature and selfish. It took a while, but both Lucere and Estella developed. The twins not so much.

Finished with Grace Burrowes' contribution to this collection of 3 intertwined stories about 3 young Dukes hiding out in the middle of nowhere. I'm still not sure why Lucere and Starlingham had to accompany Mowne to the village where they stayed separately and incognito. Anyway, the first was a cute story, but Burrowes does have an odd, almost formal, style of writing. Strange rhythm.
