This book is hard to put down, but I feel the author has missed an opportunity for a meta commentary on all the disturbing experiences in this book; women’s traumatic experiences of sex with men, young boys’ addiction and access to violent pornography. The narrative is so unbelievably male-centred, and it’s disturbing that the male author writes about girls and women’s sexual misery without comment.
