This is a HR, which means there are certain parameters that dictate what has to happen in this book. There's a formula for a reason, and Leigh is choosing to completely ignore the formula. While I enjoy shaking things up and have a pretty high tolerance for anachronism, she's completely throwing out the rules for the genre, making this a less enjoyable read.
