I’ve read holocaust books before, namely The Boy Who Followed His Father into Auschwitz, which gave me a LOT of context behind this book and a look into what made the different camps different. I was inspired to read this book because of a quote from Anne Frank that ended up in Off with Her Head. I’m reminded that hatred that starts out “innocent” can lead to the death of a little girl and thousands like her.
