Notes:
(1) Contrary to being blasphemous, this has actually been quite pro-religious, or at least pro belief in the Judeo-Christian God.
(2) I'd class this as a kind of modern myth retelling.
- The difference being that the main character, Jodie, consciously reenacts the life of Jesus, or at least the bullet-points.
- Maggie Kane here is obviously a Mary Magdalene analogue.

(1) There's a twist ending, which makes perfect sense, both in terms of the story and Biblically too.
(2) The story has some fairly deep and memorable scenes, but is pretty vanilla overall.
- Though, probably intentionally vanilla.
(3) Millar and Gross, a Franciscan and a Benedictine write afterwords.
- That's a lot of underscoring of how this book isn't blasphemous.

(1) I've put off reading this until the very end of my Millarworld journey because it's arguably blasphemous and I'm arguably religious. So, whether I'd read it at all was always up in the air.
- But, I figured, if I'm going to call myself a book reviewer, confronting uncomfortable subjects is part of the deal.
- I'm not about to (entirely) judge a book by its cover.
