Passages on the Great Debate will be familiar to any Maoist, but the fascinating thing is this—Cuba allowed itself to be a center of experimentation. The Soviet/Stalin-Khrushchev model under the AFS controlled by the National Bank, and the Maoist/Guevarist moral incentive model under the BFS controlled by the Ministry of Industry. Truly fascinating, even if we moralizers lost that experiment.
