Maybe I’m new to fantasy and world-building but the first few chapters are so frustrating to read. Instead of showing us Ash and Sera discovering new details about the past, Kolis, and the Fates, Armentrout spends four chapters just telling us things that Sera magically now knows while the main characters are sitting having a meal. They should be on an adventure finding this out!
