I was very skeptical of this book but it’s already got my 6th graders hooked. Student theories about what’s going on with Carol in chapter 1 include:
- she was possessed
- she shapeshifted in her sleep (correct)
- one of her parents was a vampire so she is half-vampire
- she is secretly a zombie
