Finished the short story Alamagoosa. I hope this is my least favorite story in the book because this was hard to get through. The story revolves around seamen aboard a a naval space ship going through an inspection from supervising officers. Imagine reading a list 5 times in a row with scarce conversation about the items on the list. Overall uninteresting to me with little character development

Finished the first short story; The Darfsteller. I felt like it was an interesting story about a man who’s hanging onto an old life in a world that’s advanced past him. It had really interesting themes that mirror AI and modern technological advances that end up putting people out of jobs. I predicted the ending to be darker and more dramatic, but it ended with an uplifting expression of man’s ability to adapt
