I'm liking the gothic haunted house aspect and Zade and Adelines dynamic, but the trafficking aspect is coming off very weird and gives off conspiracy theory vibes.

Dnfing. Sorry. This is a duet and book two is even darker. Covers graphic abuse and sex trafficking for over 50 percent of the book. My mental health isn't strong enough rn to handle reading that.

This is probably going to end up being one of the darkest romances I've read so far....and tbh I'm terrified already for book 2. I don't know if I'll be able to handle it as I've seen reviews that say the next one is even darker and more triggering.
