This one reminded me a little of that dream I had the other night, except it didn’t have John Oliver warning about coming disaster and large packages of toilet paper. It was an interesting take on the idea that we’re living in a simulation. The engine was dying and the rules were breaking down.

Dark Home by Nnedi Okorafor was good! The main character being U.S. born and raised but of Nigerian descent and her feelings about the old ways of her ancestors, as well as her discomfort/lack of acknowledgement for the importance of those ways is really interesting.

“I swear, we’ll engineer our own extinction wrapped in a bow if it’ll make some money.”

“…you’ll see places you don’t have the mind to dream of.” (P.47)
